Setting up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

2FA adds an additional layer of security to your investment account. Even if somebody guesses your password, they wouldn’t be able to access your account without the authentication code sent to your phone.

When enabled, 2FA requires two sources of verification to sign in to your account (your password and a one-time code sent to you via SMS).

Every time you log in or make changes to your account, you’ll be required to verify your identity. Read more about how to enable 2FA..

To ensure your account is as secure as possible, we recommend everyone enable Two-Factor Authentication.

How to set up 2FA

  1. From the home screen, tap Account Settings

  2. Scroll down to tap Two-Factor Authentication

  3. Select SMS as your authentication method

  4. Enter your phone number and tap continue

  5. Enter the verification code sent via SMS

  6. Copy your emergency backup code and store it somewhere secure
